Any help would be appreciated! We have recently added Earl, a 4 month old Black Merle Great Dane to our family for my 8 year old son. Unfortunately, last Thursday when my son took him outside Earl ran out into the road and was hit by an SUV that of course didnt stop. My son felt horrible and was frantic when he came to tell me with tears running down his face We took him to an emergency vet to have him checked over and found it was not a great diagnosis but, he was alive after all. This tough little dude came out with no internal bleeding or life threatening injures however, he has broke both of his front legs. They want to do surgery to put pins in but unfortunately, I don’t have the money to do so right now. We were able to get his front legs splinted to hopefully save his legs and mobility but know that realistically his quality of life will suffer greatly without getting surgery. We have been given an estimate of $6,000-$8,000 for the surgery upfront then it will be a rough road to recovery with follow ups.
