My father, Earl Keenan, has been taking care of my blind handicap mother, Aline Keenan, for approximately 32 years. For the last two years Aline has been bed ridden and even though Dad has a hurt back he still spent his days and nights taking care of my mother. The woman he loved with all his heart. A few months ago Aline's health went downhill very rapidly. As of January 2017 she was placed in a nursing home in Duncan, Ok and Earl was told all they could do is comfort care. She was diagnosed with colon cancer, had surgery and two foot of intestine removed. After the surgery, due to her health, her wounds would not heal. On March 13, 2017 at approximately 6 am he received a call letting him know that Aline had passed away. I grew up with this man and I can honestly say I have never seen him cry or break down. He is my hero and the toughest person I know but as of right now he is hardly speaking. I went with my father, Earl , to make funeral arrangements and despite the funeral home, Whitt Funeral home in Duncan, helping in every way they could Earl needs 7000.00 dollars to give his wife and the woman he loved so much and gave everything he had to her for 42 years a bare bones funeral. I hate to have to ask and if my dad knew I was asking he might hurt me but I'm asking anyway. If you've ever been in a position and needed help you will understand. My father needs help today. The funeral is set for day after tomorrow and even if it's a couple dollars. Ever dollar will help.
