On May 31st, a devastating fire tore through an apartment complex in Nashua, NH, forever changing the lives of Dylan & Zabrina. Dylan lost his mother in the fire, just 18 days before his 22nd birthday. The tragedy also claimed the lives of their two beloved cats and destroyed nearly everything they owned. The only reason Dylan & Zabrina are still with us today is that they were not in their third-floor bedroom that night. In a single moment, they lost a mother, pets, possessions, and the place they called home.
This GoFundMe is set up to help cover the cost of a funeral for Dylan's mother and to ease the financial burden of replacing clothing, food, bedding, and other essential items destroyed in the fire. The funds will help them rebuild their lives and provide some comfort during this unimaginable time of grief and loss.
I have never written a GoFundMe before, and this level of sadness and grief is hard to fathom. Hearing the doorbell at 4am with a sheriff on the porch asking to speak to Dylan Lemay, my heart sunk. All I could say was he's only 22, knowing his birthday was in a couple weeks. They have lost so much to a fire, and while they can never get back what was lost, the least I can do is ask for help. Thank you to anyone who reads this far and feels moved to support Z and Dylan. xoxo
