Help Dylan stay independent
My name is Gemma and alongside some wonderful people I am trying to raise money for a mobility scooter for my 14 year old son Dylan.
Dylan has cerebral palsy and has undergone several procedures to try and give him better range of movement and alleviate a bit of the pain he struggles with daily. Unfortunately after his last round of botox, Dylan has suffered severe muscle weakness and gets extremely tired a lot quicker. At 14 he wants to be going out and hanging round with his friends but it's just so exhausting for him he can't enjoy the things we take for granted as a teenager. He has got an amazing support bubble of friends who always include Dylan in their plans which is all he's ever wanted, to be included. It's just unfair he can't always do the things he desperately wants as his body just won't allow it.
We would love to be able to provide Dylan with a mobility scooter to ensure he can go out with his friends and make a full week at school without being so physically drained and in pain. We want to give him the same opportunities as his peers to enjoy his teenage years as much as he can.
