Help Dylan Recover from a Tragic Shooting

Hello all! I'm Dylan's Mom, Andrea. We had many people reach out and offer to do a gofundme for Dylan in the beginning of his incident, and since we didn't know where things would stand in October, I had declined. However, things have shifted downward.
For those that don't know; On October 28th Dylan was shot in the chest by a random person for unknown reasons. I received the horrifying facetime call from Dylan's phone, as his friends were trying to reach me to inform me. Unfortunately, I could hear nothing but chaos on the line, until an officer got on the phone and updated me that Dylan was shot and was on his way to Edward ER. I arrived at the ER only to be informed that I needed to wait in the waiting area, until the ER dr came to speak to me. From 9pm-2am, I sat waiting to hear if my son was going to die from this gunshot. He received 3 blood transfusions, was intubated and a chest tube was put in his lungs. The choice of words the Drs kept using was "We're cautiously optimistic" . Dylan was stabilized but considered in critical condition and moved over to the ICU. For the next 4 days, I had no idea what would happen. Luckily, Dylan pulled through. His right lung had a hard time healing and they surgically implanted two valves to see if that would help his lung heal. Unfortunately, this procedure was not covered by insurance due to this procedure only being used for patients with COPD. Dylan has since had the valves removed and his lung seems to be healed. We're all very grateful and blessed that Dylan has survived this senseless act of violence.

Because of this incident, Dylan was hospitalized for 18 days, and had the valves in for 6 weeks. He lost out on the ability to work, and register for school at COD, he is looking forward to being a part of the Auto mechanic program in Spring. While Dylan was in the hospital the engine on his car decided to fail, and now will need an engine rebuild. On top of medical bills that are finally pouring in quickly and auto issues, we are hoping the community can help Dylan out. We are very grateful for those whom visited Dylan in the hospital and for all the 'get well gifts' Dylan received. Due to this incident Dylan has started Therapy for PTSD.
