Our brother Dylan needs your help.

On September 29th, 2025, our world was turned upside down when Dylan was rushed to the emergency room with a severe staph infection in his blood that spread to his brain and heart. Doctors quickly discovered that the infection had completely destroyed the mitral valve in his heart and caused small brain bleeds. On Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, Dylan underwent an emergency open-heart surgery, a procedure that ultimately saved his life.

The doctors told us they couldn’t believe Dylan was walking when he arrived at the hospital — several said they couldn’t believe he survived at all. His strength and determination have amazed everyone involved in his care, and we’re beyond grateful he’s still here with us today.

The road to recovery will be long and difficult. Dylan hasn’t been able to work since mid-August, and it’s unclear when he’ll be able to return. The combination of lost income, mounting medical bills, and the home modifications needed for his safe recovery are creating a heavy financial strain for him as he focuses on healing.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Dylan has a giving heart and never fails to show up for others—friends, family, coworkers, and even strangers. When a new friend lost his mode of transportation to work, without hesitation, Dylan gifted him a bike. When Dylan learned how to make Vietnamese pho from scratch, he gave it away to the community free of charge. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
