Update:: Dylan’s Retina had detached for a second time leading to a second surgery costing 30k , this surgery makes it to where he has to continue to stay face down or lay on his left side for 6-8 weeks that being said he no longer has a job to help provide we thank everyone again for any donations anyone may make or any shares this page gets ❤️
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and hopeful spirit as I organize this GoFundMe to help our little family during an incredibly challenging time. As a couple of you know, Dylan has been legally blind his entire life. Recently, however, he suffered a devastating retinal detachment in his stronger eye the one that allowed him the limited vision he had. Tragically, the detachment began while I was in the hospital delivering our son via C-section. In the days that followed, his condition worsened rapidly, leading to complete vision loss in that eye. He underwent an intensive surgery to try and restore some vision doctors placed a silicone band around his retina and inserted a gas bubble to help keep it in place. Because of this, Dylan has to remain in very specific positions face down or lying on his left side for the healing process, which makes it impossible for him to return to work right now. As for me, I’m still recovering from my C-section and will be out of work for at least another month. It’s been an incredibly overwhelming few weeks welcoming our baby while also facing the uncertainty of Dylan’s recovery and the financial strain that comes with it. We’re not the type to ask for help, but with mounting medical expenses and no steady income at the moment, we’re turning to our community in hopes of raising enough to cover at least some of our bills and ease the burden while we focus on healing and caring for our newborn. Any amount would mean everything while we get back on our feet or even support by sharing thanks for your help in advance ❤️
