We are fundraising on behalf of our Father, Dwight Whitaker. Our father is in need of urgent help, and all we ask if for anything you can help with. Little or small, it would make a huge difference in his life, saving our father is the only thing that matters to us.

Dwight's Background:

 

• Born in New Jersey, Essex County on December 12th, 1965. He is currently 55 Years Old.
• Has 5 Children ( 33 Yrs, 25 Yrs, 23 Yrs, 21 Yrs, 6 Yrs Old )
• Has a 13 year old Granddaughter named Brianna.
• He has a passion for crafting, road trips, and his children.

 

 

Dwight's Medical History:

 

• Currently has type 2 Diabetes - He often suffers from Fatigue and High Sugar
• Recently Diagnosed with , ENLARGED LIVER , TUMORS LOCATED AT THE LIVER AND PANCREAS ( We are awaited confirmation as of June 3rd that they may have metastasized /spread into his thyroid in both liver and pancreas )
• Abnormal blood levels
• Extreme Weight Loss - January 180 lbs , steadily decreasing to 150 lbs as of May

 

 

Dwight's Work History:

•  He used to work at a Distribution Center, Carrying more than 50 lbs a day for 12 hours with mandatory overtime every other week. He no longer works due to the cancer 
• He had a second job at as a warehouse associate in which again he carries more than 50 lbs a day loading in trucks.
• He also sells sports plaques he crafts himself which started as a hobby but now is another way of income.

He currently works long hours, but can't afford to miss work and rest. He is highly at risk. In the past few weeks he has had blood sugar of around 300 , requiring him to visit the emergency room, and in most times can't go due to his work and risk loosing his job is he misses time. 

 

 

 

 

Where the funds will go to:

 

• Dwight's Medical Bills - He does not have insurance, so he has to pay out of pocket price. We hope to get his Medical bills paid , and to put him on insurance so we can also buy his medications and especially his insulin.
• Dwight's Vitamins - Due to his Diabetes and Large Liver we are trying to get him vitamins , and the best care he needs in order to stay healthy and have energy.
• Time - The funds will also help with paying his mortgage so that he doesn't have to work so much while dealing with his medical condition. His work requires a lot of energy and strength, which he no longer has. He is rapidly declining in both areas and does not have time for his 6 Yr old.

 

 

 

UPDATES

MAY 15th - Dwight Received confirmation of his Enlarged Liver , Tumors on his Liver and Pancreas

JUNE 10TH - Awaiting Biopsy results to determine what stage of cancer he is currently in and how far spread.

JUNE 21ST - Awaiting appointment for Dwight to visit MD Anderson Cancer Center

JUNE 30th - New bill from MD Anderson Cancer Center

Currently Dwight is weak, loosing his ability to speak due to lack of energy. He has a hard time staying at work due to fatigue. Loss of Appetite , he refuses to eat at times.

Dwight is suffering from Major Depression, feeling like he won't recover. We are making sure he knows he's loved as much as possible but he can't get passed it.

 

Our father is in urgent need, and we appreciate you taking the time to read his story. We love him too much to loose him, and we feel like he's declining so fast is breaks our hearts.

 

Please help him if you can, and let us have more years with our father. He is kind, loving, hardworking, and always provides. He's funny, sweet, and will always do anything for others no matter how difficult it may be.

 

Our father has protected us for so many years and we want him to know that we will never give up on him.
