We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts but with hope in the power of community. Our beloved family friend, Dwayne Blake, a devoted father, husband, and friend, is in urgent need of a pacemaker that will give him a new lease on life.

Dwayne is a 39 year-old supervisor at a hardware store who has always been the one to lend a hand to others in need. Whether it's helping his neighbors with small construction projects or helping others purchase housing materials, his kindness and generosity has touched many lives throughout Jamaica. He is a loving husband to his wife and a dedicated father to three children, including two stepchildren, who see him as their father in every sense of the word.

However, Dwayne now faces a battle that he cannot fight alone. Diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2022, his doctors have made it clear that a pacemaker is the only solution to ensure his survival. And now his heart is only functioning at 20% and may not continue for much longer without your support. The cost of the procedure is $25,000 USD—a sum far beyond his family’s means.

Living in Jamaica, where the healthcare system often demands payment upfront, has put Dwayne in an impossible situation. Without immediate action, he faces the terrifying prospect of not receiving the treatment he desperately needs. But we believe in the power of community and the compassion of people near and far to help us bridge this gap.
