Eye care for Dutchess Marie

Meet Dutchess Marie, a beautiful healthy puppy, she is only 2 yrs old, and she's my angel. Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love my baby girl. Im a single fur mommy that works full time to do my best in giving Dutchess the life she deserves. Life was all rainbows and butterflies for us until she was diagnosed with cataracts in her left eye.
About a month ago, I noticed her left eye was swollen and red and she was having a hard time opening her eye. Took her to the vet, she was diagnosed with an eye infection, 4 days later, it cleared up, and that's when I noticed the blue grey cast in her eye.
In one week, I've spent over $1000 in blood work, eye exams, and office visits, to find out that she's perfectly healthy and that it MIGHT be hereditary, never able to get an answer as to how a dog which is not of a breed known to get cataracts can get them and at such a young age.
Our options are to get a $5000 eye surgery that needs to paid upfront before the surgery to be followed with eye exams every 3-6 months for the rest of her life and will need to be on eye drops as well. Or, we don't do the surgery and she is requires to go to these appointments and still be on the same eye drops for the rest of her life.
Either option is putting me way over my budget for me to keep up with normal month to month expenses. Its breaking my heart to know that my little angel baby is not going to be able to keep her eye sight because I cant afford to get it taken care of. I knew that health issues might happen when owning a dog, but not so young. With not being able to afford these extra expenses, I will have to find another family that will be able to take her in and love her as much as I do, if thats even possible. Please help me keep my Dutchess Marie.
