Help DUST Reach the National Championships!

Drexel University’s Ski Team (DUST) is on the cusp of something incredible—and we need your support to make it happen. Our athletes have worked relentlessly to get this far, sweeping 3 gold medals in our USCSA conference. On Feb. 22nd and 23rd, 10 of our athletes will be competing at Regional Championships in Wintergreen, Virginia. In addition, we have the potential to compete in our National Championships all the way in Bend, Oregon, but to get there we need your help.

A Team of Champions:

This year, we’re incredibly proud to have three Atlantic Highlands Conference Champions:

Women’s Snowboard Racing

Men’s Snowboard Racing

Women’s Snowboard Freestyle

And we have over 14 Regional-qualifying athletes—an achievement that speaks to the hard work, commitment, and determination of our team. But as student-athletes, funding our journey to these events comes with huge challenges.

The Reality of Our Struggles:

While Drexel University’s Club Sports provides some funding, it’s not nearly enough to cover the full costs of competing at this level. For many of us, it means going beyond just training hard—we’re working part-time jobs, sacrificing study time, and struggling to cover expenses that add up to thousands of dollars per person. Costs like:

Lodging and transportation (rental cars, gas, plane tickets)

Registration fees for competitors

Groceries and equipment bags

We’re doing everything we can to make this dream happen, but without your support, we won’t be able to cover all the necessary expenses.

Why Your Support Matters:

Your donation will directly impact our ability to compete. Whether it’s $25 to help with gas, or $100 to cover food expenses, every dollar helps us get closer to representing Drexel at Nationals. And no matter the amount, your donation helps us grow as a team and build a foundation for future success—not just for this year, but for many years to come.

A Personal Note:

“I started snowboarding when I joined DUST. During my first season, I disqualified during every single competition. Four years later, I have worked so incredibly hard to push myself to be a conference champion. The amount of time, money, and sacrifice I put into this club sport as a college student is intangible. Now that the opportunity has presented itself, I want to go even further and I promise I can deliver. Help send me and my teammates to Nationals!”
