Our brother Tony Derra has been in and out of hospitals for 5 years now, fighting for his life. He is at the end of his battle and we only expect him to be around for a few more precious days.

Our family is devastated and heartbroken. Tony will be taken off of life support today, and it's just a wait and see at this point.

I am putting this fund together for my sister in law, Kristie Derra. They have been barely surviving on one income while Tony has been sick and unable to work. On top of that she has been my brothers full-time caregiver these past few years, causing her to often be pulled away from work herself. My family is setting up this fund to try and give her an opportunity to get caught up on bills, rent, and to give her a cushion to mourn and recover the loss of the love of her life. This can give her some resources and time to figure out the next steps in her life. Unfortunately, there is no life insurance or savings set up, so any support we can give her will help her tremendously.

Kristie and Tony have 3 children & 3 grandchildren.
