A little over a year ago, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. She is a OB nurse of 25+ years & was living in California at the time while her family was back here in Indiana. We decided to bring her home, I flew out and got her, packed her things and we drove across country so she can do her chemo and surgeries close to family.
Here we are a year later, one of the biggest stresses for my mother is income and bills. What she gets from her leave of work doesn’t really cover it, her insurance? She still has a co-pay and sometimes only covers part of her medications & hospital stays.
She’s going back and forth to Indy multiple times a week for appointments, chemo twice a week, check ups, wound specialist, her food & gas in general and while she’s doing all this. Money is tight for her. I just want to give her something to help her get a head, she’s worked hard all her life and she deserves the world. We have so much to worry about already money shouldn’t be one of them.
As she’s fighting stage 4 cancer, she’s made thecomment multiple times “the time I need to domy calling the most as a nurse during this time in the world I can’t” she’s got the biggest heart
Even if all you can donate is a dollar, I will be forever grateful.
thank you!
her ONLY child,
