Help during Christa's cancer battle.

Updated October 5th!
I am officially a week away from surgery. Next Friday I will be going in for a total hysterectomy and lympnode removal.
Thank you all for the continued prayers, support and donations. Everything helps. We are a little less then $1,000 away from being in a safe zone with paid leave starting and having a waiting week. We are trying to take care of as many bills beforehand.
Some of my tests and scans have been off and suspicious so I am not sure what we are walking into next week.
I am very nervous but ready and determined to get through this for my family.
Please continue to keep my family and i in your good thoughts and prayers for safe travel, during and after the surgery and for my husband and kids during this time who will all be with me in Eugene.
Updated as of September 27th.
This morning I received a call from Willamette Valley cancer Institution and I am now scheduled for complex hernia repair and a full hysterectomy plus cancer removal. After reviewing my scans from yesterday it was determined that this is emergent enough to schedule very quickly. The hernia I have been suffering from for about a year now has progressively gotten so large it's becoming obstructed with my lower bowels and this can lead into it becoming a strangulated hernia and that is life threatening, my oncologist performing the hysterectomy cannot safely get to my reproductive organs without the hernia being repaired the first half of the surgery. Their will be two surgeons on board for this procedure. This this just adds more of a complex situation for my family and I as the surgery is a dangerous procedure. This is all happening so very fasy for us and I am worried about the unknown. Anything is greatly appreciated during this time as Corey and my two girls will need funds for traveling expense and food and also whatever else he needs during my hospital stay. Since the surgery is Friday I will be staying through the weekend given there is no complications.
This is a very risky surgery and if something happens to me I want this to stay open for emergency funding for my family. My oldest will be staying behind with family so he doesn't miss any school. This is very hard on us all and we are doing our best to get through this hard process.
Please continue to pray for us all.
I am suffering from extreme exhaustion, hair loss, high cholesterol, high platelet count, fainting spells, amongst so many other issues including crushing syndrome. I am just unable to work during this time.
On September 19th 2024 I was diagnosed with Endometrial carcinoma stage 2 after a routine biopsy. This diagnosis has devastated my entire family and we are still trying to process this. My CA 125 blood test was elevated for ovarian cancer as well as my CT scan shows spots on my cervix. I am preparing to have an emergency hysterectomy, complex hernia repair and cancer removal.
I am a stay at home mom to my daughter's who are 3 and 1 and have a 16 year old sophomore in high school.
My husband Corey works full time on a rotation shift at the mill. I've had to close my home bakery down permanently to prepare to have surgery (full hysterectomy) and start treatment.
I have my first appointment with the oncologist September 25th to schedule a surgery date in Eugene Oregon.
While going through grief we are dealing with lost wages from hospital trips and appointmens, travel expenses that will be coming up and the unknown coming.
My husband plans to file for paid leave Oregon prior to the surgery and is working with his employer actively. If i am scheduled for this surgery before 30 days of the notice they will lower his wages and we cannot afford any slack in pay. At this time he has no PTO or vacation time. He does have 80 hours of unpaid time off which protects his job but there is no pay.
We are raising extra funds to help with traveling, hotel expenses if we don't have access to the Ronald Mcdonald house due to emergency scheduling (they require you to set reservations exactly 30 days prior of your medical procedure) meals, daily expenses and bills. This will allow my husband to use his UTO for upcoming appointments until we get FMLA/PLO set up. We are aware of programs and Ready Ride, due to them being a compensation program it's going to be hard to use them as we need the funding prior.
We understand times are incredibly hard for so many right now, we were not wanting to go this route, at least not yet anyways, but due to finances being tight and having to travel for all upcoming appointments 2+ hours away we wanted to try. Raising funding will help ease any financial burden along the way. Every dime is going to the greater good of my family.
My husband works so incredibly hard and I want to ease at least the financial burden off of him. Life continues to move during the biggest storms of your life and bills still have to be paid and we are terrified of taking steps back as we've worked so hard to provide a better life for our children. This makes me feel so incredibly heartbroken that my cancer diagnosis is going to impact so much.
I will keep this GoFundMe updated as things progress and I get more information. Once we have paid leave oregon coming in, I will shut this off unless major emergencies happen.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please keep my family and I in your good thoughts and prayers please as we transition to this new life and travel down a very scary, dark, unknown road that hopefully leads me to recovery.
I am going to fight this. I plan to do what I can to be around for a long time to watch my children grow.
