Help Duranne Hear Again

Let's help Duranne hear again!

This fundraiser is to help Duranne cover the extremely high expenses of two Cochlear Implants which will help her hear the voices of loved ones and enjoy a greater quality of life.  The cost of two implants is sky high and insurance will help some BUT Duranne has a huge
deductible: $10,000 plus she will incur costs associated with doctor visits.

In her own words: 

"I was down at Blackies with Scott Maberry and friends when the sun was setting and our group was in an intense conversation full of fun...and with the evening setting I couldn't see the people's faces to read their lips. I sunk into myself and watched the sun set and these were my thoughts...

"Such a beautiful night but I'll be honest,  when gathering with friends I cannot hear anything.  That's what it's like being HOH (Hard of
Hearing). I might hear 15% of what's being said, maybe. I'm at the point where I think I'm following along and quickly find out that I'm not. I'll join in to realize, sadly, that I'm missing what's being discussed....embarrassing." 

"It's such a strange world to retreat inside my own little head and I cannot help but wonder what it's like to hear everything going on 
around me. I almost don't believe hearing is real, if you can get that?"

"My world is so small and so full and during the time where I "check out," I tend to give thanks to God for where I am, thank Him for my
friends I'm with and pray over them quietly while I watch the conversations play out. I can only look at others deep in conversation and 
realize the richness that communication bestows. Those small conversations are where friendships grow."
