Hi everyone,
My name is Tony, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my little baby, Dukes, a sweet and fun-loving Shih-Tzu, who’s family to me.
Last Saturday, Dukes was peacefully napping on my bed when he accidentally rolled off and fell onto the hardwood floor. He let out a heart-wrenching cry, and I rushed him to the Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG).
After several tests and X-rays, the ER vets gave me devastating news: Dukes had fractured his humerus and shattered his elbow in three places. He needs major orthopedic surgery to recover. Without it, his quality of life will be deeply affected.
I was also given the option of amputation of his left arm or euthanization. I have immediately dismissed and ruled out those two options.
The estimated cost of the surgery is around $10,000 - $12,000. I’ve contacted multiple specialty clinics—all can help, but require full payment upfront.
Unfortunately, I was denied Care Credit, and insurance won’t cover the procedure. So I’m turning to friends, family, and compassionate strangers for support.
If you’re able to donate—even a few dollars—it would mean the world to me and Dukes. And if you can’t contribute financially, please consider sharing this post to help us reach more people.
Every bit of help counts. Thank you so much for your kindness.
With love,
Tony & Dukes ❤️
