Hi, I’m Becca Tamagna, animal lover and owner of High Peaks Pet Care, and I’m reaching out with a very heavy heart. My amazing, loyal dog, Duke (aka Moo), is not just a pet—he’s my Emotional Support Animal and means everything in the world to me. We’ve been by each other’s side through thick and thin. He always gives me unconditional love and comfort when I needed it the most and now, it’s my turn to help him.

Duke needs 2 TPLO surgeries on both of his hind legs to regain his ability to walk and improve his quality of life. Unfortunately, his pet insurance won’t cover the cost of these essential surgeries.

After Duke recovers from his first surgery, and goes through weeks of rehab appointments, he’ll need the second surgery shortly after. It’s a lot for both of us to take on, but I’ll do anything for him and I know how strong and resilient Duke is. He survived being surrendered to the pound twice by previous owners and the distrust of people that comes after that. He kept his spirit for life and was able to trust and love me completely after years of adjusting. And trusts me now to take care of him, while he struggles to move and function. He’s always been an adventurous spirit, and I want to see him back to his playful, joyful self that we spent years nurturing.

He is only six and still has so many happy years ahead of him, if we can find the funding for his life-saving surgeries.
