I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my best friend, Sarahs, sweet golden retriever, Duke.

Duke is 11 years old and has been her loyal companion through life’s ups and downs. He’s not just a pet; he’s her family. Duke has always been full of love, joy, and lots of energy!

Recently, Duke was diagnosed with a Grade II soft tissue sarcoma, a type of cancer that requires surgery and follow-up treatment to give him the best chance at more happy, healthy years by her side. The news has been heartbreaking, but she's determined to fight for him the way he has always been there for her. Duke has a LOT of life still in him, and for those of you that know him personally, you know that about him. The prognosis is another 3-4 years of life given a successful surgery.

The cost of surgery, pathology, medications, and ongoing care is overwhelming. Between consultations, procedures, and recovery expenses, we’re looking at several thousand dollars. While she wishes she could cover this all on her own, I humbly ask for your support to help give Duke the chance he deserves.
