Duke is my almost 6-year-old pointer catahoula mix, and I’ve had him since the day he was born. He’s grown up alongside me and my family, and he’s truly a part of our family. Duke’s parents are with us too, so he’s been surrounded by love his whole life. Lately, though, things have changed for Duke. He lost his sight, and while it briefly returned, we’ve now discovered a mass in his eye. His eye is constantly watering, and it’s clear he’s in pain. It’s heartbreaking to see him struggle, especially since he’s always been such an active, loving dog.
Duke needs saw a veterinary ophthalmologist to find out what’s causing the mass. They wants more test than we could afford to cover. They found he has heart worms and now he needs that treated first before they will continue with his eye.
Duke means the world to me and my family, and we want to do everything we can to help him feel better and get back to his happy, playful self. Any support will go directly toward Duke’s veterinary care and help us give him the chance he deserves to heal and enjoy life again.
