Hi everyone,

We never expected to be writing something like this, but we truly believe Duke came into our lives for a reason.

We found Duke running dangerously in traffic, moments away from being hit by a car. Without thinking twice, we pulled over and got him to safety. Since then, we’ve been doing everything we can to give him a second chance at life.

We’ve already spent hundreds of dollars out of pocket to get him his initial vet care and vaccinations. Unfortunately, we recently received heartbreaking news ~Duke has both heartworms and hookworms, as well as ehrlichia.

These conditions are serious and require treatment as soon as possible. Heartworm treatment in particular is a long, delicate, and expensive process, but it’s his only chance at a healthy life.

Duke is such a sweet, loving dog who didn’t deserve the situation he was left in. He’s already been through so much, and we are determined to give him the life he deserves ~but we can’t do it alone.
