My five-year-old dog, Duke, is more than just a pet; he’s my best friend, my adventure buddy, and a constant source of joy in my life. Until recently, our days were filled with endless games of fetch, long walks around the neighborhood, and car rides to the store where he always picked out a cookie. His energy and happiness were contagious.

Everything changed when Duke suffered a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament. Overnight, the playful, active dog I know began struggling with simple things, even needing help just to get into bed. Watching him slow down and live in discomfort has been heartbreaking.

Duke urgently needs surgery to repair his knee. Without it, his quality of life will continue to decline, and there’s a high likelihood he will tear the ligament in his other knee within months due to the added strain. This procedure will not only relieve his pain but give him the chance to run, play, and enjoy life again.

The cost of surgery and post-operative care is significant and more than I can manage as a college student. Your donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Duke’s surgery and recovery expenses, including the procedure itself, medications, and rehabilitation.
