Donate to Dudley's Cancer Fund

Hi, my name is Deanna and I'm fundraising for my best friend Dudley. I'm in my last semester of college before graduating and interning for a medical lab. Unfortunately, I'm in a tight spot financially getting through these last few months as a student. 

My furry first born and best friend was just diagnosed with an aggressive cancer called oral melanoma. Typically, dogs diagnosed with this have median survival time of 6 months without treatment. 

Dudley just celebrated his 10th birthday in July, but he still has the spirit and energy of a puppy. He's a shepherd and malamute cross, aka, a big fluffy baby.

The good news: His oncologist staged his cancer between stage I and stage II. At this time, there is no evidence of metastasis to his lymph nodes or lungs. With treatment, his overall prognosis and quality of life is good.

The bad news: Treatment needs to happen fast and is extensive to match the aggressive nature of this cancer. They recommend a maxillectomy to excise the remaining tumor and surrounding bone to remove all the cancer cells, and then a series of the Oncept melanoma vaccine to prevent any systemic spread.

The more bad news: The surgery costs ~$5000 and the vaccine series cost ~$3600. 

Any donation would go straight to Dudley's veterinary clinic to pay for surgery/treatment and would be greatly appreciated.

Dudley has been with me through all best times and supported me in the dark ones. I owe him the all the love and support I can provide for him. I want to give him the best quality of life I can possibly provide.
