Dude has amounted about $25,000 in vet bills and continues to grow. We are raising funds to help Dude with his medical needs which include heart disease, eye disease, blindness, vestibular disease, skin allergies, arthritis, hip dysplasia. So far we have used funds to help pay for 3 major eye surgeries, which include an eye graft, duct transplant, and eye removal. Also have help cover MRI, xrays, medications, vet visits to specialists. Dude is a happy dog and all his diseases are manageable with veterinary help, he doesn't deserve to be put down. These are some of his many vet bills:

Dude has been diagnose with heart disease and has had to go under several test which include echocardiagram, blood work, & lifetime medication which have amounted to thousands of dollars.

On October 29, 2021 Dude was rushed to the ER as he seemed to have suddenly gone blind as he was running into walls and falling. He was diagnosed with an eye ulcer, which was impeding his vision, and was sent home with medications. However, he wasn’t getting any better and once again rushed to the ER on November 3, 2021 and then sent to the Ophthalmologist who determine he needed surgery. 

November 19, 2021 Once AGAIN Dude went to the ER because he had a tiny hole on his eye, it was yet another eye ulcer and by November 22 he had developed two more. 

Dude is in need of Eye Surgery for a Bilateral Parotid Duct Transplant, which consists of taking the mouth’s saliva duct and attaching it to the eye socket. He has been diagnosed with the horrible disease Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS) and Corneal Degeneration. This disease doesn’t allow him to produce any tears. Tears are required to lubricate the cornea without them it causes ulcers, damage to the cornea and blindness.

He is having to endure a lot right now, wearing a cone 24/7 to prevent him from touching his eyes due to burning, pain, itchiness, and discharge and having to take lots of medications. The other Eye Surgery for Dude includes an Eye Graft as a result from an ulcer. In addition, Dude has suffered an idiopathic stroke and had to be rushed to the ER and had to have an MRI done. We are are having to pay thousands of dollars in vet costs.

Dude is a rescue dog and the kindness soul I have ever met and is a lover of all species despite the abusive past he came from. He has helped saved the lives of many animals that would have otherwise been euthanized, as he has been instrumental in their rehabilitation and getting them adopted. He deserves to have his eyes cured and be able to be happy again, be able to see the world, nature and all his furry friends again. I am positive he will pay it forward by continuing to help his animal friends like he has always done.
