A real marathon?

YES! For this fundraiser, we will be completing a full marathon - 26.21 miles - in the Lake District - Ullswater to be exact- all while Charlotte wears a Ducklings costume...... her own suggestion, we promise!

Why is Ducklings supporting Macmillan?

Charlotte and Amy will be completing this challenge in loving memory of John Walters, a much-loved member of our Ducklings team, who recently lost his battle with cancer. Personally, John was a phenomenal Dad to Charlotte and loved Amy as part of his family. We all at Ducklings miss John, so this fundraiser is dedicated to him!

We hope that you will support our fundraiser by donating today! We hope to teach our little ducklings at preschool the importance of kindness, perseverance, and community spirit - and if all else, we hope the photos of our Duckling hiking will make them laugh!

Why should you support Macmillan?

Like so many, our lives have been impacted by cancer. We've seen its impact on our family - and we've heard of the incredible work Macmillan provides to support those battling cancer. Completing this marathon is our way of giving back and ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone.

At Macmillan, they give people with cancer everything they've got. If you're diagnosed, your worries are their worries, they will "move mountains to help you live life as fully as you can" - no pun intended!

We've already hosted an event at Fancy and nibble Cake Club, as well as a bake sale at a local residents home; which we're both a great success! Now, let's roll on to the marathon!

We'll be pushing ourselves through one long day of pain, determination, and grit—just one day—to honour and support those who endure these challenges every single day in their fight against cancer.
