Duchess is my 6-year-old cat and has been a cherished member of my family since she was just six weeks old. She’s always been feisty and a true fighter, but recently she faced her toughest battle yet. Early one morning, Duchess encountered either a dog or a fox who attacked her. We don’t know exactly where it happened, but she crawled home and didn’t show up until the afternoon. When I found her in the backyard, she was bloodied and unable to move well. I rushed her to the vet, where they sedated her, gave her vaccines, did bloodwork and x-rays, and thankfully found no broken bones. However, she needed multiple stitches in her stomach and had many puncture wounds around her neck. The doctor was surprised she survived the attack.
The funds I raise will help pay off Duchess’s medical recovery items and bills, so we can get her the help she needs. Anything helps, whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just keeping Duchess in your thoughts. She means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for anyone willing to help her get the care she needs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Duchess’s recovery.
