Duchess Needs Second Cancer Surgery! PLEASE HELP!
Donation protected

When I was a sophomore in college, Duchess was given to me as a Christmas present. Little did I know that my life would be changed forever the day I met her.
With little idea of how to be an adult, let alone take care of a dog, I faced my challenges and worked hard to give her the best life I could. Duchess has been there for me, for almost my entire adult life. She has traveled to 7 states, hiked 5 mountains, swam lakes and oceans, ran through numerous forests, and nothing has stopped her, until now.
Duchess has been by my side as I completed my undergraduate and masters degree. She stood by me as I worked night and day to provide for her and has given me endless love in return. She watched me grow into an adult and finally get my 'big girl' job as a teacher. She has helped me set up my classroom and is the focus of all of my 'example' lessons to students. She is present through the thick and thin.
Unfortunately, we need help. Duchess was recently diagnosed with a tumor on her spleen. There is also fear there is a tumor on her thyroid, causing her to produce too much Calcium. Currently, we do not know if they are cancerous, and to stop them from spreading, we need surgery.
Duchess was approved for surgery for June 7th, and she will remain in the ICU for 4-8 days. She will need to have have her spleen and thyroid tumor removed. She will have to have her blood-drawn on a daily basis during recovery. The estimated cost is $10,000.
If you know me, I never ask for anything. I will work 24 hours straight to make sure that we are taken care of. This time it is different. COVID-19 stopped me in my tracks.
If you are able to, please help. Duchess is not ready to leave us. Her spirit is strong and her smile still beams.
She isn't just my dog, she is my family. Over the years, she has touched hearts of many and has been so loved along the way.
Please help me save her.
