My name is Miles. I'm an ex-con and ex drug addict who served 4 years in prison and turned his life around. Today, I'm over 10 years free of my addiction to hard drugs and I'm now an independent/DIY reggae/rock/hip-hop solo artist who goes by the stage name of Dub-321. The reason for this gofundme is simple. The goal is get me to where I'm able to perform my new material live and tour into 2025 and beyond. I'm raising money to upgrade my PA system (see cover photo) as you can see it severly needs an upgrade. The speakers are very old and falling apart and the mixer is cheap af, plus it only sends a mono signal to the speakers. I really need to upgrade my mixer to a nicer one that carries a stereo signal so that I'm able get a proper representation of my backing tracks that I will be playing guitar and singing over. With the mixer I have only being mono, the tracks don't sound right coming out of the speakers at all. (Had I known the mixer was mono, I never woulda have bought it in the first place.) The speakers are partially blown and definitely need to be replaced as well. This PA upgrade would be so that I can test my backing tracks properly and rehearse my new songs at home to prepare to perform live at venues that will provide professional sound equipment for me or even host my own shows using my new sound equipment. I've had a lot of people hit me up this year and ask me when I plan on performing live again. I've been on hiatus but I really want to get out there, travel the country and play my music for you all live!! but unfortunately, this PA upgrade would be a prerequisite to that happening and I've been struggling quite a bit financially as of late. I'll be selling a little bit of music equipment that I have laying around I don't use anymore in order to pitch in towards the end goal.
