Hello, my name is Shari Kahrs. I’m trying to help a man that raised me, he’s so much of a father to me and his tragic accident and his loss. He’s an upstanding citizen and community member, helping others all the time. He has a huge heart, loves artists, there work and history, and loves bringing them back to life through exploration and experience! He gives back to so many, bringing classics back to life and giving the story to life nowadays. He works so hard to hold onto our history and shares the knowledge he holds dear. Always eager to help others when they need it. No matter his situation. I feel like this is our turn to help someone who helps so many others. His life is his job, and his job helps so many! An amazing man, no lies, no issues, and believes that what he’s saving with his knowledge of preserving and protecting our history.
This accident put a huge hold on his life and his career, which he has been doing for many years. Like I said, he’s a huge part of all of Colorado Springs and so much more of that area. He has built so many relationships with so many shops and customers and the community.
This is what Duane is being dealt, and he doesn’t deserve this.
Duane has had that truck in his family for over 63 years, constantly working on it and improving it. His grandfather got it when the truck was only 10 months old with very low mileage. To me, that’s a family heirloom, something that means so much to someone, especially to Duane. That truck is his family history and his livelihood.
So what this accident that someone else caused and totaling his truck took from him that day wasn’t just hitting his truck. It was taking away his means of transportation, his means of family heritage, and his means of work. His time and effort put into restoring something so beautiful that meant so much to him for his family and himself. Please help me help him get justice for what this man took from him and more. He lost his truck and so many wages and really needs our help as a community.
This person who hit Duane’s truck while he was parked and not Duane’s fault the other man had horrible insurance, and they are not offering to help much at all. Duane has been having to rent a U-Haul truck daily and per mileage just so he can go to and from job sites. If you would like to know more information, the accident happened January 16, 2025, in Colorado Springs, CO. Or you can reach out to myself or Duane for more information.
