Help Duane P. Medeiros Preserve His Vision

i recently went to the V.A. doctor and to get an evaluation about my eyes, when my vision was blurry starting in january of 2024, it has been told that i have big cataracts in my right eye and my left eye not as bad, so i was told i need surgery, the V.A. will only cover option 1 , which is the manual procedure to remove the lens in my right eye, and replace it with a new lens, but if i choose their plan, i will lose my far sightness , and only see close, i would then have to wear glasses which i dont want, the other 2 plans are laser surgery which is more accurate, but then i will still need glasses, and lose my far sightness, which is unacceptable to me, the only option as advised by the advise of the doctor is option #1 which is 4000 for each eye, laser technology, in my document is a copy of the 4 plans, i'm sure they will tax me, i would be happy if i did the right eye only, but then there may not be balance in both eyes, i asked him why so much? he said because they will use million dollar equipment..so my options is to make a go fund me page, if i ignore the surgery, i could go blind, i have diabetes also, i depend on clear vision which i need in my detailed work of makau's , i would appreciate any contribution for my surgery, i have too much pride to ask my friends, it is expensive, and i have to say, is this how our government takes care of us veterans? short end of the deal..please help me if you can, mahalo..duane P. medeiros
