My dad, Duane McKenzie, tragically lost his home in the second tornado that swept through Salem, MS on March 15, 2025. He made a last minute decision to leave his mobile home and seek shelter which saved his life. We are so thankful he is still here with us today. His home, car, and buildings were destroyed and all that remained was one shed. Due to difficulties in insuring his home, he did not have home insurance. Nearing retirement, he lost everything and will be starting over. If you know him, you know he’s a hard worker and the first to help others in need. Many people have reached out asking how they can help. I thought a GoFundMe fundraiser would be the most helpful to him right now, given the circumstances.
