Help Duane Brown Adapt & Overcome Loss Of Limb
Donation protected
Greetings. We are Anthony and Rick Bryant, and we are appealing to all who read this to consider helping our 1st cousin, Duane Brown—affectionately known as “Dudley.”
In August of this past year, Dudley began experiencing numbness and tingling in his legs, with the worst of the symptoms being in his left leg. Due to the leg not responding to treatment, Dudley underwent surgery on December 26th. To make a long story short, on January 24 of this year Dudley had to have his left leg amputated above the knee to save his life. His right leg is also in jeopardy, but we are hopeful it will heal.
Dudley grew up in the Mcleod area and attended school in Wyndmere. He was an outstanding football player for the Wyndmere Warriors. His family has been cattle ranchers in Mcleod for generations and Dudley has lived in this community his entire life. For those of us who know Dudley, you know that to know him is to love him. He is a friend to many and there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for those he cares about. Dudley is kind, generous, and helpful to his friends, family, and community. His annual Sassy’s 4-wheeler run, with proceeds going to Neurofibromatosis research has been enjoyed by many. Dudley has been active with the union at Bobcat in service of his fellow employees and friends. He has a true servants’ heart. We consider ourselves so fortunate to be a part of his life.
But now, he needs us. Dudley’s future is unknown. Besides the traumatic shock of losing his leg, financial concerns add to this tragedy. It is unsure if or when he will be ever able to work again. Without a doubt he and his wife, Jen, will endure financial hardship with Dudley not working. Unfortunately, Dudley has very little family in the area for support. However, we can all be his family and come to him in his time of need. We can assure him emotionally and financially that he is not alone and that we are all with him every step of the way in this journey. He is so deserving of our help and we humbly ask anyone who reads this to help Dudley as much as you can. Your support would be more appreciated than we could convey. Truly.
May God’s blessings be with you all.
