This family could use any help they can get. They all step up and help anyone who needs help and now we all need to step up and help them with expenses. I will share a post that Duanes daughter has shared with all of us. Day 7: 4:30PM My father is having a tough day. He continues to run a fever. Many cultures have been taken to try to find the source of infection. The nurses attempted to repositioned my father late this morning from his stomach onto his back. This repositioning led to his blood oxygen levels dropping below 90 requiring the ventilator pressure to be turned up to the maximum pressure. His heart went into an irregular cardiac pattern and needed to be shocked. He had an episode of atrial fibrillation. Once stable enough to be repositioned he was placed back in the prone position since he gets better oxygen levels that way. With that being said the doctors have approached us about how we want to proceed. Of course we have made it clear we want to do everything possible to give my father every fighting chance. So the doctors and nurses will continue to try to rotate and reposition my father as they must for the many risks and benefits involved in doing so. As far as the donations we asked for previously we are stil pursuing that but the hospital doctors started that conversation with us without any actual knowledge or procedures in place. So we are in contact with the Red Cross trying to make it happen for my father. We truly appreciate all the effort and support from everyone. As soon as we know more and are able to move forwsrd in anyway that we can use anyone that has so graciously stepped forward we will reach out. We as a family are so so grateful and words are not enough to express how much it means that you all have been so willing to help in anyway that you can. THANK YOU!!!
