Dear Family, Friends, and Community,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share the heartbreaking news about Pedro Ruiz, known to many as “Dro.” A devoted father, a hardworking provider, and a man who always put his family first, Dro was the victim of a senseless act of violence—in front of his own home in Hayward as he was simply going out to feed his family.

By the grace of God, Dro is still with us. He is in the ICU- fighting every day, showing the strength and resilience that we all know and love him for. While he is making progress, he has a very long and hard road ahead to recovery, and his family needs our support now more than ever.

Dro has always worked hard to provide for his loved ones, including his young daughter, mother and siblings. But during this difficult time, the burden has become overwhelming. We are asking for your help—whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer. Every bit of support will go toward medical expenses, household needs, and ensuring that his family has what they need while he focuses on healing and supporting him through this long road to recovery.
