Firebirds Family, our hearts are broken. We lost a wonderful father, husband, and friend this week with the passing of Drew McGuckin. He was a person who had an uncanny ability to make anyone laugh, with a slight pause to make sure he wasn't being serious at first blush. He traveled light, but he was always prepared with first aid kit, tinker toy chair, snacks, you name it he had it. Always there to lend a hand.

He was a surprise and a delight in so many ways, including finding out he was the author of a children's book. He beamed with joy for his lovely wife of over 25 years, Jen, his son Josh, and his daughter Ashley. Swapping stories about the kids or the many animals that ruled the house, was one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend. He will be missed immeasurably by those that knew him, and we are blessed to be among them.

I want to share any love and support that they need with the family, so we started this account. The goal is for his family to be able to focus on being there for each other and their healing as they walk through this unimaginable time.
