Drew is a typical five year old boy. He loves cars, he loves swimming, he loves jumping on the trampoline, he loves dinosaurs, he loves McDonalds, he loves his iPad, he loves playing with his sister and he loves his family. He’s a happy, smiley, funny little boy who loves nothing better than to take things apart and study how they work. He’s intelligent and caring and loving. He’s also autistic.

Drew works hard to communicate but finds verbal language extremely difficult. This is so frustrating for him. He has lots to say and he wants to be heard!

There is a way that he can access language though. There are communication devices available which could open up Drew’s world in ways we could only imagine. These devices, and the ongoing training and therapies associated with improving his communication, are not freely available on the NHS.

This is where we need your help! We are fundraising to provide Drew with the means to do what most of us take for granted, to be able to talk, to be able to make his needs clear, to be able to tell us how he’s feeling and what his hopes and dreams are.
