Help Drew Through ITP Treatment and Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Drew. I’ve been living with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) for nearly four years — a rare autoimmune disease where my body destroys its own platelets, putting me at constant risk for serious bleeding.
Over the years, I’ve gone through nearly every treatment option available: steroids, Promacta, Rituxan, IVIG, Fostamatinib — all in an effort to keep my platelets stable. Some worked for a while, but none have provided lasting remission.
Now, I’m scheduled for a splenectomy, and I’ll be out of work for at least 6 weeks, possibly longer depending on how recovery goes and how my immune system adjusts. I won’t be getting paid while I’m out, so I’m asking for a little help getting through this time.
I know not everyone can give — and that’s okay. Only help if you can. Even sharing this would mean a lot.
Funds will go toward groceries, bills, medications, and other essentials while I recover and focus on finally getting to a more stable place with my health.
Thanks so much for reading and for any support you’re able to offer.
