Help Dream Bakery move into their own kitchen!

Hi, I'm Karen, owner of Dream Bakery. Last fall we closed our doors due to the fallout from COVID. We thought we were out of business for good, but the incredible outpouring of love and support from our amazing community convinced us that we needed to find a way to keep the dream alive. Dedicated gluten free kitchen space is incredibly hard to find in Austin, but we lucked into a shared kitchen in far South Austin that has allowed us to do pop ups and the Circle C Famer's market, and to begin to bring our products to store shelves like People's Pharmacy. The main drawbacks? Our space is tiny, so we are limited in what we can produce. And we aren't allowed to fry anything, so our best-selling yeast-raised fried donuts are off the menu. And it's waaaay south. So not ideal for a lot of our customers.

But now we have an opportunity to move into a kitchen of our VERY OWN where we can make all your favorites (donuts! churros! croissants! toaster pastries! pizza! bread! ALL THE THINGS) near the intersection of Hwy 71 and South Congress (so not quite so far south). It would allow us to offer pick up at the kitchen on a regular basis for those who can't make it to the farmer's market. And it would allow us to scale so we can build on what we've started with People's Pharmacy to bring our delicious, celiac-safe gluten free baked goods to more store shelves (dare we even say Whole Foods?)

BUT, the kitchen needs repairs to the vent hood in order to pass inspection so that it can be permitted by the city. And every square inch needs to be professionally cleaned and sanitized to be sure it's safe for gluten free food production. That's where you come in.

We are hoping to raise $5000 by the end of March so that we can make this kitchen happen. We are still clawing our way back from last fall and don't have that kind of cash reserve. Any amount you can donate will help us move Dream Bakery forward and help us continue serving the gluten free community we love so much. As always we appreciate all of you so much!
