Help Dre Bug
On June 13. 2012, at the age 2 our Dre Bug was diagnosed with MECP2 Duplication Syndrome a condition
characterized by Intellectual Disability Delayed Development. We were told he would never walk or talk. It was a very sad day for all of us and hard to comprehend. We all knew this was going to be a challenge, but with determination and hard work we knew he would learn to walk. At the age of 5 low and behold he started taking steps with the encouragement from his little brother Bentley, always telling him, "Come on Dre, you got this". His balance became better as he got stronger and he never slowed down. He loves music, Grandpa's red guitar, dancing, playing outside and showing you things as he is non-verbal. Dre is now 11 years old and needed back surgery to correct his spine as it started to curve pushing on his lung, kidney and liver. On Monday March 8, 2021 Dre went in for back surgery to have a rod put in his back to straighten his spine. It was a long surgery and outcome was not good. They went back in and removed the rods and noticed they had punctured his spinal cord. It has been almost 3 weeks and he is still leaking spinal fluid. He no longer has movement from the chest down and will be life-flighted to St. Jude's in Salt Lake on Monday March 22nd.
Donations are needed to help Lizzie and Laloni with unexpected
financial burdens.
Please keep Dre in your prayers.
