Drax is a young, energetic, and loving bully who wants everyone to be his friend. A few weeks ago, while playing with his best friend Jolie, he suddenly stopped running and began limping heavily. My heart sank as I realized he had likely torn his CCL. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where they started him on pain control and anti-inflammatories, and he has been cage-rested ever since. Today, we met with an orthopedic specialist who confirmed that Drax will need a TPLO surgery to repair his torn ligaments.

Drax is my baby boy and has been a huge part of our family. Everyone who meets him knows him as the sweetest, most kind-hearted dog who truly believes everyone is his friend. Facing the possibility of losing him is heartbreaking. As a veterinary technician, I have the knowledge and tools to keep him comfortable, but I simply can't afford the cost of surgery and recovery therapy that he needs to heal fully.
