Hi, my name is Draven, and I've worked in the medical field for over 10 years. Caring for others has always been more than a job for me; it's a calling. I chose to pursue nursing to create a stable and secure future for my daughter and myself, while continuing to show compassion and love to those who need it most, even when they may not realize it.
In faith and obedience, I relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, to enroll in a one-year accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program. I successfully completed my first semester with excellent grades and have two semesters remaining. This journey has required sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering commitment, but I know this is where I am meant to be.
I truly believe that faith without works is dead. I've been doing my part by dashing when I can, applying to countless scholarships and loans, and connecting with every available resource to meet this goal. I refuse to take no for an answer because I know I am supposed to be here, in this city, in this moment, in this school. Still, I recognize that even the strongest journeys are not meant to be walked alone, and right now, I need some help from my village.
Despite these efforts, I've reached a financial roadblock. Due to the full-time intensity of the program, I'm unable to work consistently, and my savings have been exhausted. I am seeking support to help cover the remaining cost of tuition so I can continue and complete this program.
Finishing nursing school means more than earning a degree. It means providing stability for my daughter, breaking cycles, and continuing a life of service in healthcare with integrity, compassion, and excellence.
If you feel led to give, any amount, no matter how small, makes a difference. If you're unable to give financially, please know that your prayers are just as meaningful to me. Prayers move mountains, honey, and I believe wholeheartedly in their power.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for your generosity, encouragement, and support. May you be blessed abundantly.
With gratitude,
Draven
