Help Drake Lemansky & family with medical expenses
Donación protegida
Around 3:30AM on 10/2/22, Drake was a passenger in a vehicle driving back home to West Virginia from a regional Pokémon tournament in Illinois. All of a sudden, the car in front of them swerved off the road to avoid a vehicle driving Westbound on the Eastbound interstate. This did not give them any time to see the car coming so they were hit head on by the driver going the wrong way on the interstate. Drake was originally taken by ambulance to Springfield hospital then life flighted to Miami Valley Trauma Center when they realized the extent of his injuries. He has been in the ICU at Miami Valley in Dayton, OH since 10/2/22. He has 4 vertebrate broken in his lower back, which he received surgery for to place an internal brace. He currently wears an external brace for it as well. He has 8 broken ribs and his lungs severely bruised and damaged.
The driver who hit them is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol and/or other substances. This should be confirmed when we receive the official toxicology reports. The driver was not carrying any type of car insurance at the time of the accident which is mandatory in Ohio (the state his vehicle is registered and the accident took place). It is not clear at this time whether or not Drake’s medical insurance will assist with any of the medical bills- this generally falls under the car insurance which the driver did not have.
Drake is a full time student at WVU and works at ProPerformance. Due to this accident, he is unable to do any class work or work his job.

I am very good friends with Franchesca (Drake’s sister) and also have had the pleasure to meet Drake before and I can’t imagine what their families are going through right now.
First a drunk driver hits Drake then you find out that said driver has no car insurance and the family is now just suppose to figure it out a way of paying for all this unexpected bills. As soon as I heard of this I decided to create this Go Fund me to help out the family.
if you can, please donate! Every little help HELPS!
