Help Draco Fight Lymphoma One More Time!
Our beloved dog, Draco, is a 6-year-old Border Collie/Great Dane mix who has been the heart of our family since the day we rescued him at just 9 months old.
When Draco came into our lives, he had suffered abuse and neglect. He was frightened, withdrawn, and unsure whether he could trust people. It took nearly a year of patience, love, and consistency before he finally began to feel safe. The dog who emerged from that journey became one of the most loving, loyal, and resilient companions we could have ever imagined.
Over the past six years, Draco has been by our side through some of life's most difficult moments. He has been our source of comfort, strength, and unconditional love. Now, he needs us to be that source of strength for him.
In March 2025, Draco was diagnosed with Stage III lymphoma. We were devastated, but we immediately began treatment. Thankfully, he responded incredibly well to chemotherapy and went into remission almost immediately after his first treatment.
Eight months later, the cancer returned. In December 2025, Draco began a second chemotherapy protocol and once again responded exceptionally well, achieving remission after his first treatment.
Unfortunately, as of June 2026, Draco has come out of remission once more.
After evaluating his condition, Draco's oncologist has recommended another round of chemotherapy because of the remarkable success he has had with previous treatments. Most importantly, Draco continues to enjoy an excellent quality of life. He shows no signs of pain, discomfort, or fear regarding his diagnosis or treatment. He still enjoys his daily routines, loves spending time with his family, and approaches each day with the same joy and enthusiasm that has always defined him.
As his parents, we believe that as long as Draco is happy, comfortable, and still fighting, we owe it to him to continue fighting alongside him.
Until now, we have done everything we could to provide for his care and treatment ourselves. We have been committed to giving him the best possible quality of life, regardless of the challenges. However, after multiple rounds of treatment, the financial burden has become overwhelming, and we are struggling to afford this next phase of care on our own.
We are asking for help so that we can continue providing Draco with the treatment that has given him precious additional time with the people who love him.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Draco's veterinary care, chemotherapy treatments, medications, and related medical expenses. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean the world to our family.
Draco has spent years helping us through our darkest days. Now it is our turn to help him through his.
We understand that many people want to know exactly how their contributions are being used, and we are committed to being completely transparent throughout Draco's treatment journey. If you would like additional information regarding his diagnosis, treatment plan, veterinary bills, invoices, or medical records, please feel free to contact us at any time. We are happy to provide documentation and updates to anyone who would like to learn more about Draco's care and how donations are helping support his ongoing treatment.
Thank you for taking the time to read his story, for your support, and for helping us give Draco every chance possible to continue living the happy, comfortable life he deserves.
With gratitude,
Draco's Family
