Dr. Vince Buonaccorsi has been a valued faculty member of Juniata College’s biology department for over two decades. Dr. Buonaccorsi has helped many students across academic disciplines as a as a professor, class advisor, researcher, and mentor. 

On Thursday, March 10, Dr. Buonaccorsi shared devastating news with his students and colleagues that he had been diagnosed with cancer. Currently, Dr. Buonaccorsi is awaiting a room at a cancer treatment center in preparations to begin intense treatment. 

It is the goal of this fundraiser to call on the Juniata community and all related to provide love and support for Dr. Buonaccorsi and his family. The severity of his sudden diagnosis will be extremely trying for his wife Kristin and three children. We are confident that the Juniata community can provide much needed financial support through generous donations that will help alleviate the financial burden of Dr. B’s treatment, as well as cover travel expenses and accommodations for his family.
