My name is Dr. Toniann Hines, and I'm a dentist in Jamaica and owner of Innovative Dental Care. I live in Kingston, Jamaica, and I'm reaching out with compassion and urgency to help the people of western Jamaica who have been devastated by Hurricane Melissa.

The destruction has left many families without homes, food, clean water, and basic necessities. I've already begun providing relief through personal donations and community support to my family in the affected area, but as I visit these areas, I'm met with tearful pleas for more help, more food, clothing, and medical supplies from other families in the area and community. The need is overwhelming, and I cannot do it alone.

Your contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward bringing hope, comfort, and essential supplies to those who need it most. The money will be used to buy perishable items and roofing materials, as most people lost their roofs during the hurricane. Medical supplies and clean water are also major issues in the communities. Gas is a major need as well; they need it to supply generators, gas stoves, and transportation. Even though food is needed, they are worried about a roof over their heads, so the majority of the money will go towards rebuilding. Together, we can help rebuild lives and restore faith in this difficult time.
