Hi everyone,
Our colleague, Dr Mariatu Tamimu is a young and promising Obstetrics and Gynaecology resident from Sierra Leone. She has recently been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer which cannot be managed in the country. She needs to travel out of the country for further investigations and management.
The total estimated cost for her treatment in India is $41 000.
Together (Junior Doctors Association Sierra Leone and the Sierra Leone Medical and Dental Association), we are raising funds to help her get the urgent care she needs. Ovarian cancer is very aggressive and spreads rapidly. Nothing is to small to help a promising young doctor.
