Help Dr. Robert Rowland Fight Rare Stage 4 Cancer
Dr. Robert Rowland has spent his life healing others — a gifted surgeon, a compassionate colleague, and an extraordinary human being who has always led with heart and humility. Today, he’s facing the fight of his life.
Robert was recently diagnosed with stage 4 appendiceal cancer — an incredibly rare and aggressive form of the disease. After undergoing a laparoscopy, he learned that the cancer had spread too extensively for traditional treatment options like cytoreduction surgery and HIPEC. His only hope now lies in a cutting-edge clinical trial being offered exclusively at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
The trial, which administers intra-peritoneal chemotherapy, delivers a higher concentration of treatment directly to tumor sites with significantly fewer side effects. It’s a blessing of a chance — but one that comes at a heavy cost. Because this trial is only available in Houston, Robert must travel back and forth from his home in Colorado every two weeks, all while coping with intense physical side effects, including neuropathy that currently prevents him from practicing surgery. He is now on medical leave, relying on disability income and savings.
This GoFundMe is our way of giving back to someone who has given so much. The $30,000 goal will help cover airfare, lodging, and unexpected costs that come with traveling for life-saving treatment. It’s not just about easing the financial burden — it’s about giving Robert the best shot at more time, more memories, and more life.
If you’ve ever been touched by Dr. Rowland’s kindness, care, or quiet strength — or if his story moves you — please consider donating or sharing. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
Let’s rally around someone who’s spent his life standing for others. Now, it’s our turn to stand for him.
