UPDATE: An Urgent Request for Dr. Reem Because Dr. Reem is now pregnant and facing a high-risk pregnancy, our most urgent priority is raising the funds needed for her lawful border crossing into Egypt before winter. Every day matters. For years, Dr. Reem, an OBGYN, has cared for 100’s of mothers and babies under dangerous circumstances, continuing to serve her community even while enduring repeated displacement, loss, and danger herself. Now, she is the one who needs urgent medical safety. Thanks to the generosity of strangers we have raised half the funds required. We are now urgently fundraising $25,000 for border crossing fees so Dr. Reem and her husband Dr Mohammed can continue their journey to safety and medical care. I am Dr. Mohammed Al-Harazin, and I am joined in life and love by my wife, Dr. Reem Shehab. Our dream of a harmonious home was shattered by the brutal war.

We lost our home, our work was stopped, we lost our baby,and we lost many loved ones to the devastating bombing. Today, we live in a small tent, taking care of my elderly parents who suffer from chronic diseases and difficult circumstances, especially since it is now winter.
