Help Pallium India fund a RESEARCH OFFICER
Help Pallium India fund a Research Officer!
What kind of lives do people with serious illness have in India?
What is their end-of-life experience?
How can we improve the care we provide to better match their needs?
Pallium India wants to address these questions!
Listen to Dr. MR Rajagopal talk about the need for research in low- and middle-income countries:
Help Pallium India build a foundation of needs-based research and quality improvement with well-designed studies to improve the care of people with
health-related suffering. Visit the Pallium India website for more information about our work: www.palliumindia.org
Our goal is $20,000.
These funds will allow Pallium India to hire a Research Officer to coordinate all research, quality improvement projects, and grant writing to address the suffering of families and patients by initiating a research program dedicated to those with serious illness.
If we reach our goal of $20,000, a generous donor has committed an additional $12,000 so that we have two years of funding for the Research Officer.
Mode of delivery of care
Measurement of outcomes
Team health
Early detection of serious illnesses
Nutrition
Staff education
Scope of practice for nurses, social workers and pharmacists
The world’s published palliative care literature largely focuses on studies done in high-income countries. While it is evident that there are many questions related to palliative care in India, the data necessary to find the right solutions is missing. Research on these issues will help us prioritize issues, assess the funding required, and develop cost-effective ways to address these issues.
Your donation will not only enable us to discover innovative tools for addressing inequity, but you will be directly contributing to alleviating the health-related suffering of patients who are receiving palliative care in low and middle income settings.
Please donate if you can and share widely.
Thank you.
