Hi Everyone

My name is Dr. Olga Valdman. I am a Family Physician and am raising funds for our learners to experience Global Health training globally and locally.

These funds will support Umass Family Medicine residents with two programs

1. Spanish Language program

2. Global Health travel

Specifically, for the Spanish Language training program, the funds will help offset the cost of Spanish Language classes especially for our residents with lesser financial means. Classes are held 2 hours/month and cost $45/hour. Each session has 1 or 2 residents in it. The cost for a year of all of the residents currently engaged in the program is $2,700

For Global Health travel, the funds will help support airfare and lodging for a 1 month rotation at a global partner site. Approximate cost of resident global health rotation is $1500-2000/person. But even a $1000 scholarship could be very beneficial to them. We have 7 residents in the track.
