Help Dr Mohammed family to evacuate from Gaza
Donation protected

Dear friends,
My name is Mohammed AbuIssa. I am a doctor from Deir Al Balah looking to raise funds to evacuate my family and reunite them with my brother's in Egypt. My mother and father, Samah and Saed are currently in Deir Al Balah with my two younger sisters, Hala who is 10 years old and Jana who is 8 years old. Our aim is to secure a safe reunion with my brothers, Amro (24 years old) and Saeb (20 years old). Both are medical students at Al Mansoura University in Egypt. Both have felt completely helpless since this genocide started. Both attempted to request evacuation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt, sadly to no avail. I have created this GoFundMe campaign in an attempt to evacuate and rebuild the lives of my loved ones.

In 2023, I graduated from Zagazig University in Egypt with a degree in Medicine. Once the genocide started, I dedicated myself to serving my people during this conflict. Volunteering at Al-Aqsa Hospital since October 7th, my mission was to rescue and save lives from this ongoing genocide. However, the danger has now reached us, and it's imperative that we evacuate before we risk losing any more members of our family
The devastation struck our district on October 17th, with 19 houses reduced to rubble and many of my loved ones murdered, many of them children. Despite being civilians—my father an engineer and my mother a teacher—the genocide showed no mercy. While the Dalai Lama's words resonate, after enduring 92 days of horror, prioritizing safety over happiness feels paramount.
My sister's, Hala and Jana once enjoyed playing, painting, and studying, the joys of childhood. Now, all they know is suffering—a stark absence of the comforts they once had, replaced by the constant terror of bombings and death. We desperately seek help to offer them a life free from fear, where safety is not a luxury but a basic necessity. Beyond bombs, the threats of infections and illness only exacerbate and worsen our worries and fears.
The suffering is relentless—lacking sleep, adequate food, and access to clean, drinkable water multiplies our daily struggles in Gaza. Each moment feels like a gamble with our lives, as danger comes closer with every passing second.
Your efforts, regardless of their size, are invaluable in bringing light back into our lives. Unfortunately, our financial situation is dire, leaving us unable to escape the ravages of this war on our own.
Over the past 213 days, we've depleted our savings merely to survive, with no work or income amid the horrors of this genocide. The scarcity of goods has driven prices sky-high, with a kilogram of sugar costing $100, onions costing $40 per kilo, and potatoes priced at $5 per kilo. Our finances are bleak, and we desperately need assistance to overcome these challenges.
I have itemised the breakdown of the funds so anyone wishing to help understands where their money will go:
1. $35,000 for permits and crossing fees: This covers the essential expenses for obtaining permits to leave Gaza and the crossing fees required at the Egypt-Gaza border, amounting to $7,000 per person for mother ( Samah S S alfaleet) , father (Saed A M Aboesa), (Mohammed S A Abuissa), sister(Hala S A Aboesa), and sister (Jana S A Aboesa)
2. $1,215 for traveling fees and taxi fare: This amount is necessary for transportation expenses.
3. $10,800 for living expenses for the whole family for approximately 6 months: These funds will sustain my family during their transition period.
4. Approximately $1,755 to cover transaction fees for GoFundMe (2.9% + $0.3 per transaction): This ensures that the entirety of the donated funds can be used for their intended purpose.
Overall, your contributions will greatly assist in facilitating the safe passage and resettlement of my family, providing them with the means to rebuild their lives.
I would like to clarify this fundraising is not intended for any armed conflict. Your support, no matter how small, will aid us in escaping the genocide, ensuring our safety, and reuniting with my brothers Saeb and Amro. If you can't donate, simply sharing our campaign with your family and friends can make a difference. Our ultimate goal is safety and reunion. Every share and every cent is immensely appreciated and can truly make a difference in our lives. Your support means the world to us.
